Senior Consultant
Pat Sealing
is an experienced health care executive with broad
experience in inpatient, outpatient and emergency
pediatric services. Pat brings skills and expertise in
program development, operational process improvement,
organizational development, and multidisciplinary team
facilitation. Pat’s experience includes:
Redesign
of patient care delivery models in both children’s and
acute care hospitals, including business and support
services
Development
and implementation of interdisciplinary clinical
pathways and documentation systems
Design
and implementation of a case coordination model, which
integrated utilization management, discharge planning,
social work and case management with major business
processes
Development
of nurse recruitment and retention programs
Consultant
for the Patient Care FOCUS Group initiative of the
National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related
Institutions; experience with the Infection Control,
Hematology/Oncology and Perioperative FOCUS Groups
Pat serves as Senior Consultant with Bowen & Briggs, as
well as operating her own consulting practice.
Previously, Pat served as Associate Vice President at
Egleston Children’s Health Care System,
Atlanta,
GA.
Her prior consulting experience includes
engagements with other consulting organizations,
including PROGNOSYS, Inc.,
Phoenix,
AZ
and Booz-Allen Health Care, Inc.,
Atlanta,
GA.
In addition, Pat has held the position of Director of
Child Health Analysis at NACHRI,
Alexandria,
VA;
Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Perinatal
Association,
Philadelphia,
PA;
and Director of Nursing Education and Development at St.
Christopher’s Hospital for Children,
Philadelphia,
PA.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing from The
Ohio State University,
Columbus,
OH,
and has pursued doctoral study in Organizational
Development at
Temple
University,
Philadelphia,
